Epic Universe will be the largest Universal Park in the U.S., according to theme park officials. It will consist of five immersive worlds themed around various popular franchises, allowing guests to travel through a “portal” and explore and interact with their favorite fictional, legendary lands in a whole new way.

While much about Epic Universe is still a secret, Universal has released some information about its new park that reveals a lot of what to look forward to. Here's what we know so far about each of the different worlds.

Heavenly Park

Celestial Park is the cosmic heart of Universal's Epic Universe, where all adventures begin. At the center of the park, you'll find portals to extraordinary worlds just waiting to be explored. But this “world between worlds” already offers a number of options before you venture into your favorite realm. Exciting rides, dining experiences, retail shops and other entertainment options await.

Super Nintendo World

Travel through the iconic green tube and enter a colorful landscape filled with familiar characters and exciting challenges. This land is based on the popular video game series and follows the original land in Japan and Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios in Hollywood.

There are countless themed entertainment options, rides and virtual reality experiences that bring your favorite elements of the classic video game to life. Hop into a “kart” for a thrilling race in “Bowser's Challenge” or jump into a minecart to explore the jungles of “Donkey Kong's County” in “Mine-Cart Madness.” Guests can also visit “Yoshi's Snack Island,” “Turbo Boost Treats” or the “Toadstool Cafe” to grab some treats and refreshments.

Isle of Berk: How to Train Your Dragon

Explore the ornate, hand-carved architecture and lush landscape of the rugged Viking village in the heart of the Isle of Berk as you prepare to take to the skies and soar on kites. From thrilling attractions, meet-and-greets to live entertainment, there's plenty of adventure to be had in this new world.

Guests can fly the dragons on Hiccup's Wing Gliders, a family-friendly roller coaster that takes riders into the sky to see Berk from a “dragon's eye view” and explore extraordinary heights and the rolling hills surrounding the bustling village. There are also interactive training opportunities at Dragon Racer's Rally and Viking Training Camp, and much more.

Dark Universe

Enter Dark Universe through a spooky portal with an electrifying spire that will send a shiver of excitement down your spine and remind you of how misguided scientific experiments come to life. Based on Universal's collection of early horror films, Dark Universe blends the classic tales of monsters like Dracula, the Wolf Man, Frankenstein's Monster and more with a whole new generation of monsters and characters.

Twisted trees create an eerie impression and guests are drawn into this captivating, shadowy world to explore a village plagued by the wrath of unearthly creatures and the monstrous experiments of Dr. Victoria Frankenstein. Travel to the mysterious town to experience unique adventures and discover new thrills. But beware, exciting opportunities aren't the only thing lurking around every corner.

“Dark Universe” also features an original score by legendary film composer Danny Elfman, whose distinctive musical style ranges from the whimsical to the macabre.

Ministry of Magic: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

This is the world that remains the most secret.

Universal has not yet released details about what the Ministry of Magic will include, but the park says it will transport guests to a new world where they can first-hand experience the “international wizarding communities and the magic that connects them.”

The two existing Harry Potter worlds in the main Universal Studios park have brought many popular magical locations to life, including Diagon Alley, the Hogwarts Express, Hogsmeade and Hogwarts Castle.

There is also a wide range of themed rides and entertainment options to delight guests. This new expansion is designed to offer fans brand new, transcendent experiences that will immerse them in the magical world of Harry Potter and the Fantastic Beasts films.
