Georgia is one of seven swing states. The others are North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada and Arizona.

Georgia trails other states like California and Florida, which are hosting crucial elections that will impact which party controls the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate.

AdImpact is expected to spend at unprecedented levels this election season.

“With presidential spending rising rapidly after this summer's party conventions, the 2024 cycle will be the most expensive political cycle on record, with a final total of $10.69 billion,” the report said.

If this trend continues, the elections will be even more costly than those of 2020.

“Through June 30, we have recorded spending of over $3.10 billion,” the report said. “This puts us $529 million above the 2020 cycle and $71 million behind the 2022 cycle.”

This is likely just the beginning of what AdImpact calls the “true spending season,” which runs from July 1 through Election Day.

Overall, the report predicts advertising growth of 19% for the upcoming election cycle in the 2020 election year.

Georgia voters are likely to see a large amount of ads not only from political parties, but also many ads funded by political interest groups.
