I am not the target audience for shows like TLC 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. It's another one of those reality shows that would make me cringe. My friend Michele is addicted to the stuff though, so I found out that the last season of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way has a Mainer on it.

The premise of the show is that Americans move to another country to marry someone they've never met. Being in a foreign country is a bit of a culture shock for most, and therein lies the struggle that gives the show its unmissable appeal. Michele is thrilled.

One of the contestants(?) is James from Maine. That's all we know at this point, since their last names are rarely known. We also don't know what part of Maine he's from. He's simply “James from Maine.”

According to TLC's website, James and Meitalia are married and have been living somewhere here in Maine for two and a half years after meeting online. Meitalia is homesick and decides that she and James need to move to Indonesia to be with her family, which James is not thrilled about.

The first episode of season 6 has already aired, but the episode featuring James and Meitalia is apparently scheduled to air on Monday, July 8 on TLC. If you miss it, don't worry. TLC will rerun it seven times between July 8 and July 21. You can also watch it on-demand on TLC Go, Max, and half a dozen other streaming services.
