Tragic shooting incident in Twin Falls under investigation

The Twin Falls Police Department is currently investigating a tragic incident that occurred on July 3, 2024, that resulted in loss of life. The shooting occurred at approximately 7:22 p.m. at the Fawnbrook Apartments located at 645 Fawnbrook Avenue.

When Twin Falls Police officers received reports of gunshots, they quickly arrived at the scene. Upon arrival, they found that 35-year-old Miguel Lawrence Garza had been shot. Garza was immediately transported to St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center. He succumbed to his injuries the next morning. Twin Falls Police expressed their condolences to Garza's family and loved ones during this difficult time.

“The men and women of the Twin Falls Police Department are actively working to gather evidence and interview witnesses. Their top priority is to find the person or persons responsible for this crime and bring them to justice,” said Police Chief Craig Kingsbury.
