Police say pilot extradited to Utah after posting illegal photos of former flight attendant

CEDAR CITY – A commercial airline pilot was extradited to Utah Tuesday after police say he assumed the identity of a former flight attendant, posted intimate photos of her and once sent a stranger to her workplace to solicit sex.

Andrew Hill, 36, a United Airlines pilot, was booked into the Iron County Jail around 1 a.m. and charged with two counts of distribution of pornography (a third-degree felony), stalking, internet identity fraud, distribution of an intimate image (a class A misdemeanor), and harassment via electronic communication (a class B misdemeanor).

In January, a woman filed a complaint with Cedar City police, claiming her ex-boyfriend began opening fake online accounts in her name and distributing nude photos she sent him after she broke up with him 10 years ago, according to court documents.

Hill used these profiles to send messages to other men telling them she had “fantasies of being raped” and soliciting strangers to solicit sex from her, the charges say. Police were able to trace one of these profiles to an account belonging to Hill and found the images on the man's cloud accounts, according to court documents.

After gathering evidence for charges, an arrest warrant was issued for Hill on June 6. According to the warrant, three men had solicited the woman for sex in the past two weeks, one of whom had shown up at her workplace. When officers and the woman called Hill, he “displayed an arrogant attitude” and “derisively laughed at the victim when confronted, implying that she was not allowed to touch him,” according to the warrant.

According to the St. George News, Hill was arrested at San Francisco International Airport by two Cedar City Police detectives and then flown back to Utah.

He is being held without bail and his next court date is scheduled for July 8 in 5th District Court.
