Texas Longhorns QB Arch Manning reveals big improvements he has made

There are few college football players that are talked about more than Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning. The crazy thing about that statement is that Manning only threw five passes during his college career.

Being the nephew of NFL greats Peyton Manning and Eli Manning has its advantages.

While popularity is nice, it also brings with it great expectations. If Manning eventually takes over as Texas' starting quarterback, the bar will be extremely high for him.

Although he hasn't gotten much playing time so far, Manning has worked hard to improve his game. He's always working to get better, which makes those around him believe he has top-notch NFL potential.

Recently, Manning talked about an improvement he focused on during the offseason.

“We don't try to make too many plays ourselves. I just let the offense come to me, put it in the hands of the playmaker and just try to get better every day.”

Quinn Ewers will be the starting quarterback to open the 2024 season. He is expected to be the starter all year long, but recently a renowned analyst predicted that Manning will start for Texas at some point in 2024.

During the offseason, rumors circulated about Manning and a possible transfer. Fans and analysts alike wanted to see him on the field and believed he could find a new place to be the starter in 2024. Instead, the young quarterback stayed loyal to the Longhorns.

It's clear he's excited about what Steve Sarkisian has built in Texas, he wants to be a part of it and feels like it's the right thing for him to achieve his ultimate goals.

Even in his time away from playing, Manning has been successful, working his way up to become the third-best NIL athlete in the nation and the second-best NIL athlete in college football.

On 3 has listed it with an impressive NIL valuation of $2.8 million.

Still, it will be interesting to see what the 2024 season holds for Manning. Even if we don't see him play, it looks like all roads lead to him being the starter for Texas next season.
