Colombian fugitive wanted for drug trafficking arrested in Massachusetts | State

BOSTON, Massachusetts – Enforcement and deportation operations in Boston have arrested a Colombian refugee wanted by Spanish authorities for drug trafficking.

ERO Boston deportation officers arrested the 25-year-old Colombian national in Revere on June 29. “This Colombian refugee is wanted by Spanish authorities for trafficking poisons in their country,” said Todd M. Lyons, director of ERO's Boston field office. “He attempted to hide from justice in Massachusetts. We will not allow New England communities to become safe havens for criminals from around the world. ERO Boston will continue to make public safety our highest priority by apprehending and removing the worst non-citizen offenders from our neighborhoods.”
