Orlando Magic star Paolo Banchero sends heartfelt post on X

Paolo Banchero has only played two seasons in the NBA, but has already established himself as one of the best players in the league.

The 21-year-old recently hosted his first children’s basketball tournament camp in Seattle, Washington.

Following the camp, Banchero sent a heartfelt post to X with a clip of the day's highlights.

Banchero gave his post the headline: “The first children's camp in my hometown was a dream come true. ❤️ Thank you to everyone who came together to make this amazing experience possible for the young people!”

Every time players host a camp for kids, it's a special moment for everyone involved.

This is all the more remarkable, however, because Seattle does not have an NBA team, so children in the area have fewer opportunities to see the players up close.

Banchero was selected first in the 2022 NBA Draft after playing one season of college basketball at Duke.

He finished last year averaging 22.6 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game while shooting 45.5% from the field and 33.9% from three-point range.

In his second season, Banchero was nominated for the 2024 NBA All-Star Game.

The Magic also finished the season fifth in the Eastern Conference with a record of 47-35.

They reached the NBA playoffs for the first time since the 2020 season, when Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vucevic were still on the roster.

However, the Magic lost in the first round (in seven games) against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
